Fruitful Confusion is a webcomic created by Laura Kajpust. It originally appeared online in 2006 and ran until 2008, having gotten halfway through chapter 3. After a year off, it began again in September of 2009 and is currently on-going. It can be read here.

Direi Arc (ch.1-4)Edit

• Wish 1: Keshi from Rone Keshi K. arrives to the capital Direi, and his name soon draws attention. Both Keshis, Zev, Sachi, and Rezen are all introduced.
• Wish 2: Imprisonment Keshi gets arrested for "impersonating" the wish granter and Sachi decides to use the opportunity to steal his fruit cart. Her plan gets stalled by Zev and when Rezen discovers what happened, he decides to go free Keshi.

Story OriginsEdit

Fruitful Confusion's primary influence was the TV show Avatar: The Last Airbender, notably the cabbage man. Laura was quite fond of him and then wondered why so few stories star people with ordinary jobs such as him...so she decided to create a story with a primary character whose a fruit merchant. The rest of the story soon fell into place.

The story has also had a lot of influence from other sources as well, including but not limited to: One Piece, Fire Emblem, and Harry Potter. A lot of popular music has also been a large source of inspiritation.

Trivia/CameosEdit

• In the very, very, very original version, Zev was actually "half-rabbit". Still had a long tail, but had bunny ears. Getting tired of having to explain that their world's definition of rabbits weren't the same as ours, he got a revamped look and their race was changed to be the Ryoka instead. He also didn't have stripes and his hair color was a light blue. His personality then was also completely different. The only things to remain the same after his redesign were his eye color and headband.
