Demons
Demons are a tan-skinned race with colorful hair and magic. Their bodies are covered in different designs that resemble tattoos, but they're born with them.

Hair Colors
Edit
Below are a list of Demon hair colors, with those most common being bold.
- Blue
- Red
- Yellow
- Black
- White
Most Demons have two-colored hair. There is one color that is always seen as "dominant", which covers most of their head and is also their eyebrow color. Having a single hair color is very rare. Demons' hairs can mix colors, and this creates Demons who have green, purple, or orange in their hair and other variations in color that are are different shades and tints. This is very heavily determined by genetics and the hair color of their parents. For example, if the dominant hair color of the father is Red and the dominant of the Mother's is Yellow, there is the possibility that the child will have a dominant hair color of Orange. The mixing of hair colors works with their dominant color and dominant color, and sub hair color to sub hair color - the subordinate and dominant hair colors never mix.
Not all colors mix, however. If the colors when mixed do not produce a color of some variation of primary or secondary color, one of their parents' color will instead dominate the other. It is usually the darker color. Whether or not the colors will mix is not always easy to tell and depends heavily on how different the colors are. So if a mother has yellow in her hair and the father purple, their child's hair will contain purple. If one had yellow-orange and the other green in their hair, the child could contain a more yellow-green or simply green.
Eye Colors
Edit
Below is a list of Demon eye colors, with bold being the most common and italicized being rare.
- Gold
- Red
- Purple
- Teal
Like their hair, their eye colors can also mix and the same general rules apply.
Markings
Edit
Demons are born with markings all over their body. The colors of their markings are often similar to their hair colors, but not exactly the same. The colors and designs on their body are also inherited from their parents. However, every Demons' markings are unique.
This is how one tells the difference between the two different type of Demons -- by whether or not their markings are symmetrical or not.
Types of Demons
Edit
There are two types of Demons. They are biologically very similar, but have some differences between them - mostly in their culture, personalities, and how they use magic. They are easily identified by whether or not their markings are symmetrical.
Symmetrical Demons
Edit
Demons with symmetrical markings are the most common type of Demons. They tend to be more aggressive and use their magic for fighting. They can use their magic to create weapons [swords, arrows, whip, etc. made of magic].
Asymmetrical Demons
Edit
Demons with asymmetrical markings are much more passive. They also use their magic for fighting, but instead of creating weapons solely out of magic, they use their magic to modify already existing weapons. They can change the size, design of the weapon, etc. Asymmetrical Demons have very strong family values. Even across different countries, they tend to frown upon divorce and remarriages. In Asfaran it is outright forbidden in asymmetric society for them to divorce or remarry, regardless of circumstance. In other countries they are more lax of this rule.
Similarities
Edit
Both types of Demons tend to have strong traditions and values, which are often strictly enforced and unforgiving. They seem to have more gender equality than other races. However, although females are also trained in to join their military and often highly respected, they are almost never allowed to have leader positions.
